Fundación Marso required support in several areas to achieve the online presentation of Aquelarre, an online contemporary art project co-curated by Jessica Berlanga Taylor and Sofía Mariscal. The project was divided into three chapters to be published over a period of a year and exhibits the work of 27 artists, whose imaginations and practices have been fuelled or inspired by the archetype of the witch and her attributes as a subversive female identity. The brief included:
- The design and development of a website to present the entire project online.
- The coordination, filming and editing of video interviews with the 27 participating artists.
- Photographic and video documentation of a selection of newly commissioned works.
- The filming and editing of all activities included in the Public Programme including conferences, performances and a round table discussion.
The website was designed to be consistent with the branding provided by the client and developed in WordPress. The client was provided with a detailed User Manual to facilitate content management. The production of all audiovisual material including interviews and public programme events, involved liaison with and coordination of, 38 people during a pandemic, in order to achieve a mix of in-person and virtual recordings. A special adaptation for camera was made of a performance piece, requiring a complete production process including direction, lighting, sound and post-production and was filmed at the Ex Teresa Arte Actual Museum. All the material was organised and delivered in a timely manner and to the highest quality for the launch of the website which was initially conceived to display documentation of physical exhibitions and later restructured to suit a virtual exhibition and programme due to the restrictions caused by Covid-19.
“Working with De Casa Producciones has been an absolute joy. Their ability to adapt to the complexity the pandemic brought to an already challenging exhibition project and public program has been impressive. They do everything seamlessly, the quality of their work is beautiful and they established a much needed warm and friendly environment. De Casa Producciones truly delivers.”
